Wedding Video
So. I've been spending the last few weeks editing all kinds of film footage!
I got that volunteering role at CVS and its excellent!! Im editing loads of footage and getting all kind of experience - not to mention all the people are lovely! :D
BUT the main thing thats been keeping me away is the making of a wedding DVD for my cousins wedding...
So - editing four hours of footage down to about 12 minutes... WOW I gotta say it took a while... a few hours... days ... okay weeks!
BUT IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!
I dont know what it is about editing - its like you've just finished putting together a massive jigsaw puzzle - but its harder because you haven't got a picture to go by.
I gotta say, the amount of time i spent color correcting (every clip), but like i said i loved it.
Im sure theres like a science to putting clips of film of photos to music to make them seem more epic and dramatic - you can send so many different messages depending on when the image comes in at different lengths of the song - or the chorus.
But today, i took round the final DVD draft to Gemma and Dan (Groom and Bride) and i was relieved to see they loved it!! <3
And seeing it on the TV gave me chills :D And it stretched to the screen well, the saturation hadn't changed... everything just went so well :P
Im currently working on editing "The truth behind procrastination"
And i cant wait to put it on youtube - i also have another video idea where i basically act out your usual day out with my dad :S Which is always tragic at the time but looking back you cant do anything but laugh...
